Posco to become world biggest steel plate producer

Posco is expected to take the lead in the global steel plate production by boosting its total capacity to 7.5 million tons with its 2-million-tons new plant in Gwangyang which is said to accomplish this month.
Once Posco finished its new plant, local supplies is able to meet demands.
Now local consumption on steel plates was 15 million tons, but half of those were relied on imports from China and Japan.
On the other hand, some started to warn that the local market will face oversupply.
