India becomes third-largest steel making country

Indian steel output is expected to reach at 72.76 million tons from 2009 to 2010, becoming the third-biggest steel making nation in the world.
Additionally, it production will keep increasing in the next few years due to affected by public works and real estate business.
India is expected to reach a steel output of 124 million tons in 2012. In order to attract the foreign investment, it has revised the mineral resources law concluded in 1957 to allow outside enterprises to exploit.
