CISA opposes EU AD tax on Chinese seamless steel tubes

It is reported that China Iron & Steel Association claims to firmly protest and oppose the anti dumping tax that the European Union intends to exert on China's seamless steel tubes export.
On September 24th EU suggested levying a five year anti dumping tax on China seamless steel tubes and aluminum foil at a respective rate of 39.2% and 30%. The suggestion has been submitted to the European Council for a final decision scheduled to come out before October 8th.
CISA said "The European Union sets a precedent of international trade protectionism in the steel industry which does great harm to China's steel industry, especially the seamless steel tubes producers. It said it will appeal Chinese Ministry of Commerce to adopt legal means to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese steel plants, and it is probable for the country to resort to WTO for a fair solution.”
Since July 9th of 2008 when EU registered the case of anti dumping of Chinese seamless steel tubes, CISA has organized nine steel corporations on behalf of the related 210 Chinese steel plants, to state the truth on EU hearings in this January and June.
CISA said from January to August of this year, EU seamless steel tubes industry owned a profit rate of 15%. It said "But EU neglects that fact in their valuation."
CISA warns the country steel makers to take serious consideration of such a situation and be prudent in the production of seamless steel tubes.
