National infrastructure fixed investment offers great opportunities to the steel industry, Handan I/S got the "Beijing-Shijiazhuang, Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway" steel supply large orders: the company has produced nearly 100 kt of steel for the Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Shijiazhuang high-speed railways, the first batch of products will be finished soon and are being delivered. Two orders were favorable for Handan I/S to respond to the current challenges of the market and enhanced the image of Handan Iron and Steel products.
On July 24th, 2008, steel products at Handan I/S stood out in the bidding with excellent quality and higher cost-effective and got the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway project steel supply order. On November 28th, 2008, Handan I/S won high-quality green building materials contract from the Ministry of Railways Beijing-Shijiazhuang passenger railway project.
According to the briefing, the bidding steel products at Handan I/S mainly include 70,373 mt of quality bars and 27,135 mt of high-quality high-speed wire supplied to the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway project; 24,674 mt of high-quality bar products supplied to the Beijing-Shijiazhuang high-speed railway project. In addition, Handan I/S continued to sign orders for the next batch of productions.
After signed these two contracts, Handan I/S set up a high-speed rail project steel production and coordination group, organized and coordinated the production of steel, and strictly controlled the main ingredient of steel to ensure the products to meet the project's technical requirements.
